The BZT PF Series is the heart of our gantry milling machine range. All machines share the same philosophy: in-house manufacturing in Germany, modular configurability and long-term spare parts availability. But which size is the right one for you?
The PF Series at a Glance
All models of the PF Series are based on solid milled aluminium parts and ball screws. The differences lie primarily in the travel and therefore in the size of the workpieces that can be machined.
| Model | X (mm) | Y (mm) | Z (mm) | Table surface approx. | Weight approx. |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| PF600 | 600 | 400 | 110 | 60 x 40 cm | 55 kg |
| PF750 | 750 | 500 | 110 | 75 x 50 cm | 70 kg |
| PF1000 | 1000 | 600 | 110 | 100 x 60 cm | 90 kg |
| PF1510 | 1510 | 1010 | 110 | 151 x 101 cm | 160 kg |
PF600: The Compact Entry Model
The PF600 is ideal for:
- Model making and small parts
- Engraving and sign production
- PCB milling
- Jewellery and mould making on a small scale

PF750: The Versatile All-Rounder
The PF750 offers the best balance of size and compactness:
- Sign production up to DIN A2
- Prototyping and one-off parts
- Woodworking and plastics machining
- Milled aluminium parts up to 75 cm in length
Right for you if: you work in a versatile way and are looking for a machine that can do everything.
PF1000: For Larger Projects
With one metre of travel in X, the PF1000 opens up new possibilities:
- Furniture making and marquetry
- Larger signs and displays
- Instrument making
- Series parts with several clamping operations
Right for you if: you regularly machine workpieces longer than 50 cm.
PF1510: The Large-Format Model
The PF1510 is our largest machine in the PF Series, for demanding projects:
- Large-format sheet machining
- Doors, furniture fronts, kitchen worktops
- Sign making in large format
- Architectural models and trade fair construction
Right for you if: you work with large sheets or want to produce series parts efficiently.
Common Equipment of All PF Models
- Ball screws in all axes (no toothed belt)
- Linear guides with profiled rail guidance
- T-slot plate made of aluminium (slot 8)
- Compatible with all BZT spindles and controllers
- Expandable with vacuum table, tool length sensor, 4th axis
Which Size Do We Recommend?
When in doubt: choose one size larger. The most frequent customer wish after purchase is more travel. The additional cost of the next larger machine is small compared with the additional possibilities.
You will find a detailed comparison of all BZT series (PF, PFK, PFH, PFE) on our comparison page.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between PF and PFK?
The PF Series is the standard range with travel of up to 1510 mm. The PFK series offers larger travel (up to 2010 mm) and a reinforced design for professional applications and heavier materials.
Can I upgrade a PF machine later?
Yes, all PF models have a modular design. You can retrofit the spindle, controller, vacuum table and further options at any time. However, it is not possible to increase the travel, so when in doubt, choose the larger machine.
Which spindle does BZT recommend for the PF Series?
For wood and plastic, a router motor (Kress/AMB) is sufficient. For aluminium and continuous operation, we recommend an HF spindle (from 1.5 kW). You will find all options in our spindle range.
