Frequently asked about the PFS
Where is the PFS manufactured and what is the delivery time?
All PFS machines are manufactured in-house in Leopoldshöhe (North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany) by BZT Maschinenbau GmbH. As each machine is built to order, the delivery time depends on the configuration and current production capacity — we will gladly tell you the current lead time on request.
Can the PFS be customized?
Yes. Every BZT machine is built to order. The PFS-Series can be configured with different travel ranges, spindles (HF or frequency-controlled), controllers, tool changers, dust extraction and clamping systems. Special solutions on request.
How is the PFS controlled and connected to a computer?
The PFS-Series is connected to the control computer via USB or Ethernet and processes standard G-code, so it works with common CAD/CAM workflows. The right control software depends on your application — we are happy to recommend the optimal combination in a personal consultation.
What repeatability does the PFS achieve?
The PFS-Series achieves a repeatability of 0,02 – 0,03 mm (per datasheet). The actually achievable part accuracy additionally depends on the tool, clamping, material and milling strategy. We are happy to assess your precision requirements in a personal consultation.
What power connection does the PFS require and what about installation?
The PFS-Series is supplied with 230 V / 50 Hz (depending on model). Depending on the configuration the machine weighs 2450 – 2950 kg and needs a stable, level surface. We provide the exact power requirement, dimensions and weight of your configuration on request.
