Q: What is the difference between the BZT series?

BZT offers 17 series for different requirements: The PF, PFL and PFI are compact entry-level models for hobbyists and semi-professionals. PFE, PFK, PFJ, PFU and PFA cover the professional all-round range. PFX, PFH, PFG-S, PFB, PFU-S and PFU-S-2 are industrial machines for the highest requirements. Special models such as PFR (large parts), PFS (profiles) and PS (horizontal milling machine) round off the range.

How is a BZT CNC portal milling machine configured and quoted?

Every BZT portal milling machine is configured individually for your application — from compact entry-level models (e.g. PFK, PFI) and professional all-rounders (PFE, PFU) to industrial machines (PFH, PFG-S, PFX). The price depends on the series, travel ranges, spindle, control and options, and is therefore prepared individually. Using the inquiry form or by phone, you will receive a quote tailored to your requirements — all prices are net plus VAT.

Which materials can I machine with a BZT CNC milling machine?

All BZT portal milling machines machine wood, plastics, composites and aluminium. The PFH and PFX series are additionally designed for steel machining. Besides machine rigidity, the right HF spindle and suitable milling tools are also decisive. Our application engineers will be happy to advise you on the optimal configuration.

What is the difference between the BZT series?

Is the CNC milling machine delivered fully assembled?

Yes, all BZT portal milling machines are pre-assembled, tested and delivered ready for operation from our plant in Leopoldshöhe (Germany). Delivery is by freight forwarder on a pallet. Optionally, we offer instruction and training on site or at our training centre. For commissioning you only need a power connection (230V or 400V depending on the model) and a CNC control.

Can I upgrade a BZT machine at a later date?

Absolutely — the modular system is one of BZT's greatest strengths. Typical upgrades are: switching from a milling motor to an HF spindle, retrofitting an automatic tool changer, integrating a 4th axis, adding an enclosure or a gantry extension for larger Z travel. Vacuum tables, extraction systems and cooling systems can also be added at any time.
