Frequently asked questions

Good to know about the PFA series

Which materials can the BZT PFA machine?
The PFA series is designed for machining Aluminium, Plastic, Wood, Acrylic. The material clearance is approx. 200 mm. For some materials, suitable cooling or lubrication is recommended.
What accuracy does the PFA series achieve?
According to the data sheet, the PFA achieves a repeatability of 0.01 mm. The exact values per model can be found in the data sheet above.
How fast does the PFA series work?
The rapid traverse speed is approx. 30,000 mm/min (stepper motor). The PFA is driven via Closed-loop stepper motor (4 × 6 A) or AC servo motor (4 × 750 W).
Where is the PFA series manufactured?
The PFA series is manufactured by BZT Maschinenbau GmbH in Germany. Design, production and service all come from a single source.

What is the BZT PFA series?

Economical gantry milling machine for precise milling and cutting – optionally with Optiscout for registration mark detection. See for yourself: mill and cut to perfection. We developed the PFA in gantry design, relying on high-precision components – including ball screws in the Z axis. With the optional Optiscout control incl. registration mark detection, you achieve the highest registration accuracy during machining. Costly and time-consuming alignment of printed materials is therefore no longer necessary.
