Design

The X and Z axes are permanently integrated into the gantry and only the machine table moves as the Y axis.

Extremely low vibration thanks to the robust steel construction.

All screws are supported by at least 3 bearings: one fixed bearing (2 ball bearings) and one floating bearing (1 ball bearing).

Precision ball screws in all axes: X + Z 25 mm x 10, Y 25 mm x 25.

Repeatability up to +/- 0.01 mm (measured on the fixed bearing side).

In the Y axis, the ball screw runs centrally beneath the table and is thus protected against contamination.

The respective machining table is bolted onto the steel frame and allows the material to overhang at the front and rear.

This milling machine series offers a direct drive by means of powerful servo motors.

When machining polystyrene, the chips can be extracted through a hollow cutter using special hollow milling spindles.

The Bosch Rexroth linear guides are installed in all axes of the gantry milling machine and, together with the ball screws, ensure precise and exact milling results.

Control & drive

Absolute servo motors (optional), no referencing of the machine required.

Freely selectable industrial CNC control from OSAI, Heidenhain or Siemens for 4- or 5-axis simultaneous machining (optional).

Intelligent electrical planning through control cabinets that are customised to customer requirements and freely configurable.

Every control cabinet is additionally available with servo motor X + Y 1 kW and Z 2 kW.

Inductive reference switches for contactless referencing.

What is the BZT PFR series?

Dynamic concept with fixed gantry (X/Z) and moving table (Y) – designed for large 3D objects, prototypes and polystyrene applications. The gantry milling machines of the PFR series are the ideal entry into the industrial production of large parts. They were developed specifically for milling prototypes as well as for producing channels. High-quality components from renowned manufacturers are used (including Festo, OSAI, Heidenhain, Siemens, Phoenix Contact, Sick). Bosch Rexroth linear guides in all axes as well as ball screws ensure precise results; the robust steel construction enables low-vibration operation even at higher speeds.
