Frequently asked questions about the CNC series comparison

Find the right BZT CNC portal milling machine for your application

Which BZT series is suitable for beginners?

For getting started, we recommend the PF series or PFK series. Both offer compact traversing ranges (300–1010 mm), are suitable for wood, plastic and soft metal, and are attractively priced. The PFI series is ideal as a table router when space is limited.

What is the difference between PFE and PFU?

The PFE series offers travel paths up to 1510 × 1010 mm and is suitable as a professional entry-level option for wood, plastic and aluminium. The PFU series has significantly larger travel paths (up to 3020 × 2010 mm) and is the universal machine for trades and commercial use. Anyone wishing to machine large workpieces should opt for the PFU.

Which BZT series has the largest travel ranges?

The PFB series offers the largest traversing ranges in the BZT range, with up to 12,020 × 4,020 × 800 mm — designed for large-part production and heavy-duty applications. For special solutions, the PFR and PFS series are available, which can be individually configured to meet specific requirements.

Can I also machine aluminium and steel with a BZT milling machine?

Aluminium can be machined from the PFE series onwards. For steel, you need an industrial-grade machine: The PFH series with Bosch Rexroth linear guides or the PFG-S series are designed for steel, titanium and composite materials. In addition to machine rigidity, the right HF spindle and suitable cutting data are also crucial.

How many BZT series and variants are there?

BZT offers 15 series with over 120 variants — from the compact benchtop router (PFI, from 300 × 300 mm) to the industrial large-format machine (PFB, up to 12,020 × 4,020 mm). The series are divided into four categories: Beginners & Education, Trade & Commerce, Industry and Special Solutions.
