BZT 3D Probe / 3D Finder
Product description
The BZT 3D probe is a switching touch probe for CNC milling machines. When the stylus ball touches the workpiece, the probe sends a switching signal to the controller. With a probing routine in the controller, you can pick up workpiece edges, centre points and the workpiece zero point.
The probe is supplied without installation and without a probing routine. Installation on a BZT gantry milling machine and integration into the BZT controller are available on request. We are happy to check before you order whether the probe suits your machine and controller.

What is a 3D probe used for?
A 3D probe lets you set up workpieces without scratching them with the cutter. The controller moves towards the workpiece until the probe switches and takes over the position as an edge or zero point. This is particularly useful for aluminium and metal parts and for rework on finished parts whose surface must not be damaged.
What does the controller need?
The controller needs an input for the probe signal and a probing routine. For BZT controllers we offer the integration on request. For other controllers, please ask us first.
