What is the BZT PF series?

Compact and cost-effective gantry milling machines for hobby, model making and light engraving work. The BZT PF CNC gantry milling machine is an ideal entry-level model for semi-professional use in aluminium, plastic and wood machining. The CNC milling machines of this series offer a high level of operating comfort and a stable frame construction. Round guides as well as 16 mm ball screws in all axes make the BZT PF gantry milling machine series particularly stand out in this price range. Small to medium-sized parts made of materials such as acrylic glass, non-ferrous metals, foams and wood can be machined precisely.

Frequently Asked Questions about the BZT PF Series

What distinguishes the BZT PF series from the PFK and PFE?

The PF series is the versatile standard range. The PFK series offers more compact designs with a reinforced frame for higher cutting performance. The PFE series has an extended Z-axis travel and is particularly suitable for tall workpieces and 3D machining. All series share the same BZT quality and control compatibility.

What materials can I machine with a BZT PF?

The BZT PF machines reliably process wood, plastics (acrylic, POM, PA), composite materials, aluminium and, with a suitable spindle, also brass and copper. For steel machining, we recommend the PFK series with HF spindle. The choice of material primarily determines the optimal milling motor and tool configuration.

Can I buy the BZT PF as a kit?

Yes, selected PF models are available as a basic kit. You receive all mechanical components (frame, guides, spindles, motors) and assemble the machine yourself. The control system and software can be selected separately. The kit is suitable for technically savvy users who wish to configure the machine individually.

Which control system does BZT recommend for the PF series?

For beginners, we recommend the BZT E-ST 43-3 (3-axis) or E-ST 44-3 (4-axis) control system with integrated controller. For professional applications, our USB control systems offer maximum flexibility. All BZT control systems are plug-and-play compatible with PF machines and are supplied pre-configured.

How large is the travel path of the PF machines?

The BZT PF series covers traversing ranges from 300×400 mm (PF 0304) to 1500×1000 mm (PF 1510). The most popular models are the PF 750 (750×600 mm) and PF 1000 (1000×600 mm). The Z-axis stroke is 110–200 mm depending on the model. For larger traversing ranges, the PFL series (up to 3000 mm in length) is available.
