The CNC controller is the brain of your CNC gantry milling machine. BZT develops and manufactures all controllers in Germany, from the compact 3-axis unit to the industrial 4-axis controller with closed-loop servos. Each controller is delivered as a complete system with stepper motor drivers, power supply and software.
Universal Controllers (U-ST Series)
The U-ST series is the proven entry into the world of CNC. Connected to your PC via USB, you control up to 4 axes with the supplied BZT CNC software. The U-ST 43.3 (3 axes, from €1,245) and U-ST 44.3 (4 axes, from €1,155) are well suited to beginners and semi-professional users.
Ethernet Controllers (E-ST Series)
The E-ST series offers higher resolution and faster data transfer via Ethernet. The E-ST 63.3 (3 axes, from €1,364) and E-ST 64.3 (4 axes, from €1,463) are the choice for demanding milling work at higher traverse speeds. For industrial use we offer the E-STP IP Profi series with protective housing (from €2,244) and the E-STCL series with closed-loop motors (from €2,497) for maximum positioning accuracy.
Accessories and Extensions
In the CNC control technology category you will find complementary components: stepper motors and digital stepper motor drivers, DriveSet complete kits, USB handwheels for manual setup, interface boards and transfer modules. What is the difference between the BZT control series?
BZT offers three control series: The U-ST series (from €1,155) is the proven universal control with USB connection for beginners and semi-professional users. The E-ST series (from €1,278) is the Ethernet-based control with higher resolution and faster data transfer. The E-STP IP Profi (from €2,244) additionally offers an IP-rated enclosure and extended functions for continuous industrial operation. All controls are available in 3-axis and 4-axis variants.
Which CNC software is compatible with BZT controllers?
All BZT controllers work with the supplied BZT CNC software, which is specially optimised for our machines. In addition, they are compatible with common CNC programs such as Mach3 and Mach4. For CAD/CAM programming, we recommend Vectric software (VCarve, Aspire) or Cadascam — both generate G-code that can be sent directly to the controller.
Can I upgrade my existing CNC control system?
Yes, an upgrade is possible in most cases. Typical upgrades: from 3-axis to 4-axis (for a rotary axis), from USB to Ethernet control (higher speed), or to the Pro series with closed-loop motors. When changing the control system, the stepper motors, drivers and cabling must be matched to each other — our technical team will support you with the configuration.
What else do I need besides the control system?
A BZT CNC control system is a complete package comprising control electronics, stepper drivers and a power supply unit. In addition, you will need: a PC or laptop with a USB or Ethernet port, the CNC software (included in the scope of delivery), as well as a high-frequency spindle or a router motor with a suitable frequency inverter. Optionally, we recommend a CNC USB handwheel for manual traversing and setup.
