CNC Kit from BZT: Build Your Own Gantry Milling Machine
With the BZT CNC Kit, you build your own industrial-grade gantry milling machine yourself. The basic kit contains all precision mechanical components: machined aluminium profile parts, ball screws, linear guides and stepper motors: all Made in Germany.
The kit is based on the proven BZT PF Series and offers the same manufacturing quality as our complete machines. You save on assembly costs while gaining a deep understanding of your machine, ideal for technically skilled users and educational institutions.
The CNC controller, software and router motor/HF spindle can be selected separately according to your individual requirements. This allows you to configure your machine precisely for your application: whether woodworking, model making, prototyping or aluminium milling.
Frequently Asked Questions about the CNC Kit
What is included in the BZT CNC kit?
The basic kit contains all mechanical components: precision-milled aluminium frame parts, ball screws with fixed/floating bearing combination, linear guides on all axes, stepper motors, couplings, limit switches and all connecting elements. Not included are the CNC controller, router motor/spindle and software – these can be selected separately to suit your specific application.
What prior knowledge do I need for assembly?
Basic technical knowledge and manual skills are helpful. You should be able to handle screw connections and understand the fundamentals of electrical engineering (for connecting motors and the control system). BZT supplies a detailed assembly manual. Depending on experience, assembly takes approximately 2–4 days.
Can I expand or upgrade the kit later?
Yes, that is a major advantage of the modular BZT system. You can subsequently retrofit a more powerful spindle, an automatic tool changer, a 4th axis (rotary axis), a vacuum table or an enclosure. All BZT components are compatible with each other, and the modular system grows with your requirements.
Does BZT offer support with assembling the kit?
Yes, BZT offers telephone support and email advice during setup. There is also an active community of BZT users who share their experiences. For a professional start, we also offer software training so that you can set up and use your machine optimally.
