Product description
Ten identical engraving bits with a 60° tip angle for CNC milling and engraving machines. The tip is 0.1 mm wide, the shank measures 3.175 mm (1/8 inch) and is clamped with a collet of that size. The bits come in a plastic box.
The wider 60° angle is intended for bolder lines and V-grooves. For small lettering and fine lines, the same set is available with a 15° tip angle.

Good to know
How wide will the line be?
The line width depends on tip width, tip angle and plunge depth: width = tip width + 2 × depth × tan(angle / 2). At 0.2 mm depth, the 60° bit with a 0.1 mm tip gives about 0.33 mm, the 15° bit about 0.15 mm. For other depths, the V-carving calculator helps.
Which angle is right?
The smaller the angle, the less the line widens when the depth varies. That is why 15° suits small lettering and fine lines, and 60° suits wider lines and V-grooves.
